For #1 son’s birthday, I’m making a pirate cake. I’m using several patterns online, plus making a few minor modifications. We’ll see it turns out!

Living Cookbook

I’ve finally got around to consolidating all my recipes into one place using a nice little software package, the Living Cookbook. I originally got it because it would give the nutrition breakdown of a recipe – most importantly for me, the number of carbs. But now, I’ve decided to use more of it’s features, beginning with entering, deleting, updating and organizing the recipes. Still got a lot to do, but I’m making progress. The next step will be using it to plan out menus and shopping lists. Wish me luck!

On vacation, in the middle of no where, and still able to post, email, surf the web. I’m not sure if I should be amazed by modern technology or frightened by it.

Got a Goat?

No really. I’m told that goats love to eat poison ivy, and since I’ve got a patch (and a horrible allergy to the stuff) I figured getting a goat would be an easy way to get rid of the stuff. Just not sure how the homeowner’s association’s gonna react. . . .

The itsy bitsy spider climbed up the kitchen wall.

Swoosh! went the fan and made the spider fall.

Off went the fan. No longer did it blow.

And the itsy bitsy spider back up the wall did go.
